Library Online AI Workshop ~ SDGs and the New Flavor of Apple

To implement the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), our university library meticulously planned the "SDGs: A New Taste of Apples" AI workshop series, with 225 participants. Through four hands-on workshops, participants experienced this "apple" symbolizing technology and wisdom, helping faculty and students regain their "control" in the AI wave. On March 7th, 2023, teacher Cha Mi (Huang Xinyi) led participants in creating personal IP logos and Q-version IPs traveling the world. They then organized the information to generate unique travel maps and infographics, combined with current events to create various types of promotional posters and even animated videos. Finally, a detailed report using NotebookLM with strict formatting restrictions served as the perfect ending to the workshop. On March 31st, April 18th, and April 30th, teachers VT (Qiu Weitian) and Yao Yao (Dong Yanmei) conveyed the core principle: "Good images generate good animations," challenging participants to master comprehensive image editing, including generating specific perspectives while maintaining consistency between characters and styles. The process then proceeds to introduce film genres, compose music, generate sound effects, and finally, lip-sync the main character, compare camera movements, and edit the film, thus connecting the entire film production workflow. In the process of AI-assisted creation, the role of the creator is redefined: AI is the most powerful assistant, while humanity remains the core and soul of the creation.
