Faculty members and students from College of Charleston participated in a Basic Mandarin course during their exchange and study program, learning commonly used daily vocabulary and basic conversational expressions. The course included fun interactive games, simple self-introductions in Mandarin, and introductions to Taiwanese specialty snacks, allowing students to experience the joy of learning Mandarin in a relaxed and lively atmosphere. Through classroom interaction, the students also gained a better understanding of Taiwanese culture and language feature, enhanced their cross-cultural communication skills, and developed greater interest in and understanding of the Mandarin language.
