Faculty members and students from College of Charleston visited the Presidential Office Building and Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall during their exchange and study program to gain a deeper understanding of Taiwan’s history and political culture. Through guided tours and introductions, the students learned about the historical background of the Presidential Office Building and the development of Taiwan’s democracy. At Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, they admired the architectural feature and watched the ceremonial guard changing ceremony, experiencing the cultural atmosphere of one of Taiwan’s most important historical landmarks. The visit further enhanced the students’ understanding of Taiwan’s history, culture, and social development.
