To enhance students’ understanding of emerging surveying technologies and industry practices, this field visit was conducted at Strong Engineering Consulting Co., Ltd., where participants attended a seminar titled “Emerging Surveying Technologies and Professional Experience Sharing.” The program included an introduction to the company’s services, demonstrations of surveying instruments and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) equipment, and presentations on the applications of aerial surveying and photogrammetric mapping. Through practical insights shared by experienced survey engineers, students gained a deeper understanding of how UAVs are applied in topographic surveying, spatial data collection, and engineering monitoring. They also learned about current trends in the surveying and geospatial industry as well as potential career pathways. The visit provided valuable opportunities to connect classroom knowledge with real-world applications and broaden students’ professional perspectives.
