The speaker shared his journey, beginning with his time as an undergraduate, through passing the teacher certification exam after graduation to become a middle school teacher, and ultimately becoming a university professor. He divided his talk into several sections, including nine pieces of advice he wanted to share, encouragement to explore and discover one’s true self, time management, and self-reflection. He concluded by explaining that in the age of AI, the true value of Chinese language majors lies in the fact that AI is merely a skill; what gives Chinese language students a competitive edge is their ability to observe, articulate, and generate ideas.
