“Romance” draws us into the field of helping others, but “reality” determines how far we can go. The speaker detailed the personnel, financial, time, and location considerations involved in establishing an organization, and candidly discussed the tension between family and work. This reminded me that ideals need practical support; only by taking good care of ourselves and our lives can we care for others in the long run.
