Ministry of Education USR Planning (2025–2027): Integrating University Social Responsibility into Institutional Development Plans — "2026 International Forum on the New Wave of Boundless Learning"
On March 23, 2026, the Research Center for Labor and Welfare in an Aging Society (IAWW) at National Chung Cheng University hosted the "2026 International Forum on the New Wave of Borderless Learning." Centered on the theme of "Borderless Learning and Lifelong Competence Development," the event brought together experts from industry, government, and academia to explore interdisciplinary topics relevant to an aging society, including lifelong learning, health support, social participation, and welfare systems. President Chiu Ying-hao of the University of Taipei served as the forum moderator. Professor Wang Shi-chih, a member of the project team, delivered a keynote speech titled "Health Practices in Borderless Learning: Constructing Social Prescribing and Lifelong Health Support Systems." She shared insights from the implementation of social prescribing, explaining how connecting community resources, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and utilizing diverse support models can promote health and social participation across all age groups. During the forum, Professor Wang also participated in a panel discussion, engaging with fellow scholars and attendees on topics such as lifelong learning, social prescribing, and community co-living in an aging society, while exchanging research perspectives and practical experiences. The event facilitated cross-sector dialogue among the fields of education, health, social welfare, and community development. It deepened the connection between the concepts of social prescribing and lifelong learning, serving as a vital foundation for future efforts to build a more inclusive and supportive age-friendly society.
