This lecture features a senior associate from the Foundation for Scholarly Exchange in the United States as the keynote speaker. With many years of experience in the field of English education, the speaker brings extensive practical experience in elementary school English teaching, as well as a strong background in mentoring, training, and professional development for foreign teachers. The speaker is also responsible for promoting the Fulbright English Teaching Assistant (ETA) Program, contributing not only to the advancement of local English education but also to meaningful two-way intercultural exchange between Taiwan and the United States. Drawing on authentic communication and co-teaching experiences involving Foreign English Teachers (FETs/ETAs) and Local English Teachers (LETs), the lecture will explore how students majoring in English-related fields can transform their language expertise into a distinctive interdisciplinary advantage that combines intercultural coordination skills with knowledge of education. By examining the challenges and practical solutions involved in intercultural teamwork, the lecture aims to help students develop openness and inclusivity in intercultural communication, strengthen their critical thinking skills, and cultivate practical awareness for resolving workplace conflicts. Ultimately, the lecture seeks to inspire students to recognize and develop their professional potential, both in their future careers in English education and across a diverse range of career pathways.
