Expressive Arts Therapy in Geriatric Counseling Workshop 1

Designed for geriatric counseling, this expressive arts therapy workshop aimed to guide students in utilizing their bodies and movements, integrated with music, rhythm, and diverse media. The instructor initiated the session with movement-based warm-up exercises, elucidated the workshop's methodology, and assessed the participants' backgrounds. Subsequently, participants were divided into small groups for discussions and collaborative activities, focusing on the creative development of somatic and bodily movements. Through the 'One Finger' experiential exercise—progressing from foundational movements to creative expression and ultimately incorporating musical rhythm—participants acquired practical skills readily applicable to their future group facilitation.
