The "Drone Flight Technology Training Workshop" integrated theoretical instruction with practical training to enhance participants' understanding and hands-on skills in drone technology and geospatial information applications. The workshop covered drone flight regulations, safety guidelines, flight principles, simulator training, outdoor flight operations, and aerial image processing. The workshop began by establishing a solid understanding of drone regulations and flight safety. Through simulator training and outdoor flight practice, participants developed their spatial awareness, flight control skills, and flight path planning abilities. In addition, participants learned to apply automated aerial photography and image processing techniques to transform aerial photographs into orthophotos and three-dimensional (3D) digital terrain models, deepening their understanding of geospatial data collection, analysis, and applications. The workshop not only strengthened participants' technological proficiency and interdisciplinary practical skills but also demonstrated the potential applications of drone technology in environmental monitoring, land-use surveys, and historical spatial research. By integrating innovative technologies with academic learning, the workshop contributed to advancing technological innovation and promoting awareness of sustainable development.
