Using Body Language Expression and Interaction in Workshops for Older Adults 2

This workshop focused on “Expression, Creativity, and Meaning Construction through Movement.” Participants explored how the body can connect with space, music, and others through creative dance. Drawing on Laban Movement Analysis, the activity introduced shape and spatial direction in a simple and accessible way. Participants moved through different directions, levels, and pathways, gradually creating body shapes and flowing movements. They also explored the ABA musical structure by moving from stable patterns into freer variations, and then returning to the original rhythm. In small groups, participants discussed, experimented, and created their own creative dance pieces, turning movement into a shared experience of expression, connection, and meaning-making.
