Between identification and confusion: the types and experience of university teachers’ social practice
It's our honor to invite Dr.Wu Mingqi, the CEO of the Interdisciplinary School of Taipei Medical University, to give a speech. Taipei Medical University, which is also a metropolitan school with our university, has the advantages of convenient transportation, but also faces a small hinterland and difficulty in implementing USR. The innate disadvantage of seeking. Then, the cooperation between Taipei Medical University and the Xinyi District Office, the interaction with community residents, and the use of their own advantages to maximize the effectiveness of resource integration (hospitals, universities, cross-domain and cross-school alliances) are worthy of our school's example. As the main driver of the school’s USR project, Mr. Wu Mingqi, can definitely provide us with pertinent suggestions and innovative ideas. Mr. Wu first proposed thinking outside of the USR framework, instead of implementing USR for the USR plan, putting in the field from the heart, and doing one thing well, resources will naturally come in front of you. Then the teacher explained the purpose of the school’s "Smart-aged Quality Living Settlement Demonstration Project" and related implementation strategies. Through the "Future Home", "Social Prescription" and "Food Transformation", the relevant database was established, and technology was used to intervene and data Analyze and put forward solutions to problems, and then create a residential culture of smart housing, mutual assistance in services, and neighborhood care; combined with hospital resources, relevant non-pharmaceutical adjuvant treatments such as art therapy, music therapy and other medical prescriptions are integrated into life, and elderly Care extends to preventive medicine; using food as a medium to guide changes in diet/consumption habits and create a healthy community cycle. The two subsidized USR projects of Taipei City University are mainly aimed at senior citizens, and the university is also the only university in Taiwan with departments of fine arts, music, dance, etc. Therefore, the implementation model and strategy of Beijing Medical University are worthy of reference.
