Course-Plant Taxonomy

This course guides students to understand the current classification system of seed plants and the general situation of vegetation in Taiwan. The course guides students to learn to identify common plant species on campus and around life, and the course content includes the main morphological characteristics of plants and the principles of plant classification, plant evolution history, and Taiwan's vegetation overview. Students will have a basic understanding of the main branches of plants such as ferns, gymnosperms, angiosperm groups, monocots, chrysanthemum groups, and rose groups. In addition to the lectures, the course also leads students to observe records of plant morphology and make specimens, and let students know how to inquire about plant information and its distribution.
