Prof. Lai is specialized in early childhood math. He shared his research on “the Development of Analogical Reasoning in Preschool Children.” Professor Lai presented three types of measurements of analogical reasoning for young children: (1) Traditional analogical reasoning test; (2) Problem-solving analogical reasoning test; (3) Situational analogy test. He also enthusiastically introduced the types and causes of analogical reasoning to the students, from theory to experimental design process, and then explained in detail the matters that need to be paid attention to during the experimental process to avoid experimental errors. Thanks to Prof. Lai for his humorous and interesting sharing and the students learned a lot.
