Urban High Temperature Risks and Adaptation Paths under Climate Change
How to adapt to the risk of high temperatures? Is urban heat a result of climate change, artificiality or urbanization? In 1818, Howard of the United Kingdom already pointed out that urban areas are hotter than suburban areas, so the urban high temperature is earlier than climate change, and climate adaptation is related to fashion, era and culture. At present, Taiwan's six major metropolitan areas HiSAN monitoring system, has built 200 stations, simple results found that the temperature difference between urban and suburban areas is about 3 degrees. And Taoyuan Pi Tang to block the heat island spreading and dispersion, Tainan, affected by sea breezes, found that the heat island will move, this data is the same compared with Tokyo, affected by the topography and the coast, the Tokyo heat island high temperatures up to 60 kilometers deep into the inland. The impacts of urban warming on the formation of heat islands have four dimensions: 1. comfort and space utilization, 2. air quality, 3. rainfall, and 4. economy and electricity consumption. Finally, the four-part program for urban comfort is 1. Cooling: increase green and leave more blue; 2. Ventilation: let the road go to the wind; 3. Shade: shade for pedestrians; 4. Emission Reduction: save energy and reduce heat emission.
