Mind-body practice body workshop by Michael Caldwell

It is an honor to invite two artists, Heidi Strauss and Michael Caldwell, to the school to provide students with: creative practice skills classes and physical and mental practice workshops. When Michael Caldwell brings a physical and mental practice workshop, the ground not only helps the body move, it can also become a supporting bone stack in the body. Michael asked the students to sit in a large circle, close their eyes, and feel the process from vertical stacking of bones to letting go of muscles. This workshop is a fully integrated physical and mental practice involving flow, paradox, choice, imagery, etc. This practice layers the dynamics of body and space. Michael asks students to imagine: internal (internal), external (external) and even beyond imagination (Beyond imagination) perception. Those images become the response to the relationship between body and space. At the same time, , also involves the ability of imagination to lead the inside/outside of the body into further and deeper levels of thinking. Thank you Heidi Strauss and Michael Caldwell for bringing workshops to the Dance Department of Beijing University of Science and Technology, allowing students to be more aware of the use of the body in life, exercises that are worthy of continued exploration, and allowing students to think differently.
