Immersive dance theater is a performance format developed by Punchdrunk, a British theater company, in which no audience member will have the same experience as other audiences. Viewers are free to choose what to watch and where to watch. The form is related to gallery theater but makes wider use of audience immersion. The company is recognized for its unique use of sound, light, movement and environment. This time we introduce the work of Juan Tirando, an artist from Frantics Dance Company in Berlin, Germany. He is good at creating dance works full of rich emotions and stories, and his body has a very unique style of interpretation due to his hip-hop background. Received praise. In the lecture, the lecturer not only explained the form and characteristics of immersive dance theater, but also shared her experience in the type of immersive dance theater she has participated in. Several dance excerpts were also used to allow the participating students to actually experience and try out how to capture the essence of dance movements in different performance forms, and as the scene changes, they can instantly give different movement textures and The presentation of emotions needs to fit the context of the work, which is quite challenging. The dance limbs that the students tried in this lecture have strong street dance physical characteristics, but are not completely standard street dance movements. It is a very fresh experience for the students of the dance department. Regarding self, others, lighting or sound effects that require more attention than ordinary dance performances in theaters, immersive theater pays more attention to dance, audience, and scene situations. The dance fragments we encountered this time have strong characteristics of street dance, which is a very interesting experience for the dance department students. How to present a different texture from street dance, so that the expression of movements can convey more emotions and stories to the participants. Although a lecture cannot allow students to actually experience immersive theater performances, it is a rare opportunity to gain new knowledge about new international performing arts forms.
