CLIL Course Examples Sharing
The speaker begins today's session by introducing CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) and bilingual education. Participants are encouraged to reflect on what bilingual education entails. The speaker emphasizes that bilingual teaching primarily involves integrating English into subject knowledge, with subjects taking the lead rather than English dominating the entire curriculum. Following this introduction, the speaker conducts a practical teaching demonstration to help participants understand how bilingual curriculum operates in practice and how to effectively conduct a complete bilingual class. The aim is to provide insights into the actual implementation of bilingual education. Towards the end of the session, the speaker highlights the importance of considering students' perspectives when developing lesson plans. It is crucial to leverage students' life experiences and seamlessly integrate both languages. In bilingual courses, there is no hierarchy between the two languages; instead, they should complement each other to create a cohesive learning experience.
