"Second Lecture Series: Participatory Discussion on Practical Strategies" by Daniel Yeung

Daniel Yeung Lecture Series - "How to reflect Taiwanese values and Asian identity from self-creation, and even connect with international dance and dance network contemporary dance culture?" In the second lecture, Daniel Yeung opened the students’ participation in the open discussion by asking questions: #How would you define contemporary dance #How would you introduce Taiwan contemporary dance? #What kind of knowledge do you want to gain most before graduation? By asking students how to implement their long-term career plans after graduation through progressive questioning, students can open up a different thinking context and give feedback based on their own practical experience. They can also extend questions based on the ideas or responses put forward by classmates, so as to iterate. The discussion and inquiry method further deepens the discussion topics. He always believes that money is not necessarily the only resource, but context is also an important resource. Daniel Yeung reminded the students that "diversity" is the development advantage of a country. Whether it is integrating resources, responses, or connections, we should find ways to solve problems in an improvised manner, and don't forget where we start from dance and what we want to do. The belief continues to persist.
