Expressive Creative Art Therapy - Application in Individual and Group Counseling for Children in Elementary School

Expressive creative art therapy is a unique and inspiring psychological professional work model that can effectively help primary school children express their inner thoughts and emotions. It can also spark children's interest and encourage active participation. In individual counseling, students will be guided to use drawing, games, or creative forms to express themselves according to their characteristics to better understand their inner issues. In group counseling, students will improve their interpersonal skills through cooperation, communication, and other activities. Finally, many cases shared by the lecturers demonstrate that this intervention method can not only enhance school children's emotional management abilities but also boost self-confidence and social skills. Therefore, when used with primary school children in the growing stage, it will provide them with more diverse and flexible mental health services that are consistent with their physical and mental development characteristics.
