1. Brief description of activities (1) Megan, a Canadian art therapist, introduces her academic background and her community practice in Canada. Practice work experience. (2) The lecturer invites students to take turns introducing their names and the art media they like to use, and think about this art The therapeutic benefits that media can bring. (3) Teacher Megan explained the ETC theory (Expressive TherapiesContinuum), which covers the action and sensory level (K-S level), the perception and emotion level (P-A level), and the cognitive and symbolic level (C - Sy level), and the creative level (Cr level). (4) Teacher Megan explained the MDV theory (Media Dimensions Variables), which allows you to select appropriate media based on the complexity of the task, the task structure, and the properties of the media. Task complexity refers to the level of energy and involvement required to successfully complete the task, including high complexity (HC) and low complexity (LC); task structure means the degree of psychological orientation required to successfully complete the task, including structuring (S) and unstructured (U); while media properties refer to the inherent physical malleability of the material used to complete the task. Degree is divided into fluidity (F) and resistance (R). Fluid media can establish a connection with inner experience, while resistance provides distance from inner experience. (5) Teacher Megan used adult coloring picture books as an example to invite members to think about the application and possibility of changes of ETC and MDV theories in practical work. (6) Teacher Megan led the students to discuss how media theory can be used as a guide for assessment in art therapy practice, so as to and the importance of improving one’s own use of multiple media. (7) The students asked questions, and teacher Megan and the host teacher Lan Jianwen responded. 2.
