Introduction and Application of Hippotherapy
【Overview】 Lecturer Lin Jiekai interacted with students through narration, shared his work experience, and discussed the intervention effect of equine therapy, the basis for choosing horses as the treatment medium, how to establish a relationship with horses, risk control of horse-assisted therapy, and the implementation of Popularity and difficulty. 【process】 The lecturer first showed the horse's emotional expression through a video, such as dilated nostrils, erect ears and other characteristics to observe the horse's emotions. The interviewer asked the students to brainstorm and think about the reasons for choosing horses as a medium for treatment. They concluded that the rhythm when riding horses is closest to human steps and can provide limb training for patients with physical disabilities. At the same time, horses are highly sensitive. Therefore, emotional changes between people will affect each other, which can help individuals feel the present moment immediately. In addition, there are no cross-species prejudices and will not trigger the threat of sexual contact between people, allowing patients to present themselves more safely. Later, the lecturer talked about how to establish a partnership with a horse, mainly through feeding, touching, cleaning and playing with horses to establish a social relationship. Next, the video shows the actual situation and effectiveness of equestrian therapy intervention for special children. In addition to riding, which allows patients to conquer larger species and help build self-confidence, the cleaning of the racecourse can also help them integrate into daily life. The interviewer talked about the horse's body language. It is necessary to establish authority at the beginning, rather than being too gentle, otherwise it will be looked down upon, and it needs to be consistent in establishing a relationship to achieve more effective therapeutic effects and establish a certain relationship. security. At the end, the lecturer opened the door for students to ask questions and discussed that if a child fell off his horse during the treatment, if there were no major safety issues and he was a little frightened, he would be comforted and returned to his horse. In addition, therapists will have different courses of treatment for different cases, and the stages of treatment are determined by the therapist. Finally, talking about the dilemma of popularization, the number of equine therapists is small, and the existing horse farms in Taiwan do not have separate treatment areas, but use commercial horse farms to provide part of the time. In such an environment, there are certain risk factors, which leads to universalDifficulties. 【Conclusion】 The lecturer emphasized that while treating children's cases, they are also treating the parents behind the children, allowing parents to see a little of their children. Points of progress are very important, because parents' expectations will always be greater than their children's ability limits. Finally, the lecturer mentioned that although the environment in Taiwan is not very supportive of equine therapy, if you persist in doing it, I believe that in the future Successors were able to continue the practice of equine-assisted psychotherapy.
