PBL course achievement exhibition

The PBL cross-domain social practice course hopes to allow students to span different fields, gain an in-depth understanding of social problems, and solve or improve these problems through practical practice. The following are some elements of our school’s PBL curriculum: 1. Interdisciplinary knowledge: Students may need to learn knowledge from different disciplines to gain a more comprehensive understanding of social issues. This may include content in sociology, psychology, economics, environmental science, and many other fields. 2. Social Problem Analysis: Courses may teach students the ability to analyze social problems, including identifying root causes, impacts, and interrelationships. Students may learn to use statistics, surveys, and other research methods. 3. Community Engagement: The course may include opportunities for practical participation in community projects so that students can interact directly with local communities and understand local needs and challenges. 4. Problem-solving skills: Students may learn practical skills to solve social problems, such as project management, teamwork, communication skills, etc. 5. Ethics and Values: Given the complexity of dealing with social issues, courses may involve discussions of ethics and values ​​to help students make informed decisions in their practice. 6. Field trips and internships: Students may have the opportunity to conduct field trips, actually participate in social practice projects, or conduct internships in relevant organizations to deepen their learning experience. 7. Cross-cultural experience: If possible, courses can also include cross-cultural experience to enable students to better understand social problems and solutions in different cultural backgrounds. This project is based on the "University Social Responsibility (USR) "You and We Are Good Together" Good Circle Project" and combines the general course "Advocacy and Care for Disadvantaged Situations" and the PBL "You and We Are Good Together" Good Circle - Community sustainable advocacy, care and field management courses One course (lifestyle product design, psychology and education of special children, art therapy workshop, public policy marketing), providing cross-field Learning, social innovation, and social practice opportunities are the focus and goals. The curriculum planning is mainly based on the basic courses of social innovation, social practice, and field implementation offered by various relevant departments on campus, combined with off-site teaching, internship opportunities, and academic and practical lectures. and other activities, with a view to expanding the depth and breadth of students' knowledge and vision, and empowering college students to observe and explore social issues. The combination of these elements may vary depending on the specific goals of the course, the school's teaching methods and resources. Such courses aim to cultivate students' comprehensive abilities so that they can better deal with complex problems in real society and cultivate students who can use their own expertise Combined with the ability to solve social problems in innovative ways, we can become social leaders with social innovation capabilities.
