2024 The relationship between sensory information and young children’s development: taking children with special needs as an example
Through the speaker's professional experience and research sharing, we learned that the speaker, with a background in physical therapy, is dedicated to studying writing skills in young children with special needs. The speaker approaches this topic by examining the development of sensory information processing to delve into the writing difficulties experienced by children with ADHD. This exploration aims to identify whether these challenges stem from attention deficits, sensory processing issues, or visuomotor coordination factors, thereby helping to provide appropriate support for these children. This workshop offered graduate students a deeper understanding of sensory integration and the specific needs of young children with special needs. It also inspired them with new ideas and directions for their thesis writing.
