【USR Hub】Accompanying Art Studio: A Taipei Art Action Plan for Learning, Companionship, and Inclusion - Tie-Dye and Fabric Dyeing Empowerment Workshop

Activity Overview 1. Objectives: (1) Reflect on personal emotional states through color selection and pattern design, learning to balance and adjust between control and letting go during the creative process. (2) Release stress, promote emotional awareness and expression, and embrace one’s present state of being. (3) Experience the immersive process of fabric dyeing, fostering a flow from left-brain thinking to right-brain creativity, nourishing both mind and body. 2. Outcome Evaluation: (1) From imagining designs to tying, coloring, and washing the fabric, participants exhibited diverse reactions—some felt anxious, some fully enjoyed the process, and others embraced bold experimentation. Ultimately, the unpredictable results taught them self-acceptance. (2) The process, while unpredictable in outcome, sparked unlimited creativity, bringing unexpected surprises to participants and highlighting each person’s uniqueness. (3) Through this artistic activity, participants were guided to return to the present moment, learning to balance themselves between control and chaos. (4) As the dye spread across the fabric, it also opened participants’ hearts, connecting them with their inner creativity and providing a nurturing, therapeutic effect.
