The project team held a meeting on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, with Director Chiu at the Minquan Community Development Association in Yonghe District to discuss matters related to the "Intergenerational Handmade Workshop for Youth-Elderly Integration." The meeting minutes are summarized as follows: **Intergenerational Handmade Workshop for Youth-Elderly Integration** The Taipei City University "You and Me for the Better" USR Project plans to collaborate with the Minquan Community Development Association to host an "Intergenerational Handmade Workshop for Youth-Elderly Integration" in mid-December. This workshop will involve students and elders making handmade pastries together. Details discussed in the meeting are as follows: 1. **Purpose of the Activity:** To promote intergenerational interaction and enhance elder participation while fostering students' understanding of handmade baking. Through the shared experience of making pastries, the activity aims to create meaningful exchanges and foster mutual understanding. 2. **Activity Flow:** The preliminary plan includes a demonstration of pastry-making by an association volunteer instructor, followed by group-based hands-on practice involving both elders and students. The session will conclude with a presentation of outcomes and a brief feedback and sharing session, encouraging participants to exchange stories or insights during the activity. 3. **Venue:** Considering convenience for the elders and the anticipated number of participants, the Minquan Community Activity Center is proposed as the venue. This site is equipped with accessible facilities and sufficient space for hosting hands-on activities. 4. **Materials and Budget:** It was decided to procure necessary materials such as flour, oil, fillings, and other relevant ingredients. All essential equipment and disposable items for the activity will be prepared in advance. The budget will be determined based on the number of participants. 5. **Number of Participants:** Approximately 60 participants are expected to ensure smooth execution and inclusive engagement. The group will consist of 20 students and 40 elders, with prior grouping to facilitate collaboration during the activity. 6. **Volunteers and Logistical Support:** The project team, along with university faculty and students, will serve as volunteers to assist with venue setup, material preparation, activity facilitation, and post-event cleanup. Members of the Minquan Community Development Association will coordinate venue arrangements and elder participation. 7. **Risk Assessment:** To ensure elder safety, emergency medical supplies will be available, and a contingency plan will be in place for unexpected incidents. Additionally, a site safety inspection will be conducted to verify accessibility and ensure a comfortable activity environment. 8. **Notes:** - **November 12 (Tuesday):** Obtain quotations. - **November 15 (Friday):** Submit university documents for approval. - **By December 6 (Friday):** Collect the receipt for NT$14,000 for reimbursement. - **Pastry Production:** 40 boxes of handmade pastries, total cost NT$14,000 (NT$350/box). - **Shelf Life:** Six months.
