Practical Insights on Reading Education Promotion at Jiankang Elementary School: What Teachers and Students Learned: 1. Mastering the Latest Trends in Reading Education Understand the development of “dual reading” (print and digital) following the integration of technology into education, helping teachers address contemporary teaching challenges. 2. Developing a Diverse Perspective on Reading Instruction From overall school planning and collaborative teaching to the core of the reading curriculum, participants gained an understanding of systematic design and implementation methods for reading education. 3. Learning Differentiated and Interdisciplinary Teaching Strategies Participants learned methods for grouping students based on ability and how to design interdisciplinary reading experiences by integrating subjects such as ceramics, computer science, and English. 4. Strengthening the Ability to Connect Teaching with the Community Participants learned how to integrate parents, community volunteers, and external resources to enhance the practical implementation and overall effectiveness of school-based reading initiatives. 5. Enhancing Digital Reading and Library Utilization Understand the potential for transforming libraries into learning spaces, as well as how to effectively integrate digital resources and tools to support reading instruction. 6. Gaining Practical Experience in Supporting Students with Reading Difficulties Learn practical methods and remedial strategies for addressing students’ reading difficulties, thereby strengthening the ability and confidence to provide individualized instruction. 7. Fostering Professional Growth and Collaborative Practice Among Teachers Through collaborative lesson planning, open classroom observations, and teaching exchanges, encourage professional dialogue among teachers and the joint development of innovative teaching models.
