Interdisciplinary Program on Strength and Conditioning Studies

This course provides an in-depth exploration of the fundamental principles of strength training, various training methods, and their impact on athletic performance. The first section covers the basic physiological mechanisms of strength training, including muscle fiber hypertrophy, muscle contraction mechanisms, neuromuscular adaptations, and hormonal responses, helping students understand how scientific training principles can enhance muscle strength and endurance. The second part discusses the application of different training methods and techniques, such as high-intensity training, circuit training, and explosive power training, and how to choose the appropriate training methods based on specific athletic goals, achieving improvements in strength, speed, endurance, and other physical performance indicators. The final section explains the relationship between strength training and athletic performance, highlighting how strength training can improve explosive power, speed, agility, and other performance aspects, allowing students to fully comprehend the importance of strength training in enhancing athletic performance. The course also introduces methods for evaluating training effects based on performance outcomes. Overall, the course emphasizes scientific foundations and practical applications, aiming to enhance students' comprehensive understanding of strength training principles and applications, enabling them to translate theory into effective training plans and strategies.
