Compilation and Localization Validation of a Student Well-being Scale under a Two-Factor Mental Health Model
This workshop introduced the Dual-Factor Model of Mental Health and the concept of universal mental health screening in schools. The speaker discussed how mental health includes not only the absence of psychological disorders but also students’ well-being, positive psychological functioning, and adaptation. The workshop also presented the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and the application of universal screening in identifying students’ needs and providing appropriate levels of support. In addition, the relationship between school climate, student well-being, and mental health was discussed. The workshop provided practical perspectives on promoting student well-being and developing school-based mental health support systems.
