Reducing Barriers to Creating Accessibility: Innovation and Application of Universal Design

In an era of increasingly accessible environments, accessibility in campus spaces and learning environments has become increasingly important. Universal Design (UD) has become a key approach to promoting appropriate learning opportunities for students with special educational needs. To strengthen teachers’ understanding and ability to apply universal design in special education settings, this workshop explores accessibility and applications of universal design. It guides teachers in applying universal design strategies to classroom instruction, instructional material design, and learning environments. This enables them to develop support strategies that address students’ diverse needs, enhance learning participation and outcomes, promote the sustainable development of inclusive education, and strengthen the overall educational support system.
