Starting from the perspective that “the body is a body of knowledge,” this course guided participants to understand how bodily movement can serve as a medium for perception, expression, and creation through Creative Dance and Brain Dance. The session focused specifically on the Laban movement theme of “the diverse use of the limbs,” leading participants to explore how different body parts respond to musical elements such as tempo, pitch, rhythm, dynamics, and timbre. Through non-locomotor and locomotor movement practices using the hands, feet, arms, legs, and other body parts, participants experimented with straight, zigzag, curved, and twisted pathways and spatial patterns, transforming auditory experiences into visible bodily representations and demonstrating a creative process of “drawing music with the body.”
